Applying for Certificates (For International Students With Valid VISA)

Steps:

  1. Ensure Graduation: Verify that you meet the graduation requirements from the university and the Ministry of Education in your home country.
  2. Apply Online: Access the student portal (My LLS), fill out and print the application form.
  3. Upgrade Professional: If you are not planning to continue your studies soon, obtain a check-out memo.
  4. Prepare Documents:
    - Completed application form (from My LLS)
    - English Proficiency Result or Medium of Instruction Letter (MOI)
    - EMGS Approval Letter and Entry/Exit stamps
    - Payment receipt for new EMGS fee (for alumni students)
    - Check-out memo fee (RM 250 for graduated students)
    - Flight ticket (date must be within 4 weeks or at least 14 working days after submission, for the shortened visa only)
  5. Submit:
    Deliver the documents to the International Student Office and follow up on the status of your certificate and check-out memo.
  6. Collect Certificate:
    - Collection Times: Certificates and transcripts are available from 10 am-11 am and 3 pm-4 pm at the Exam Unit.
    - Check Status: Verify certificate status within 14 working days.
    - Signature: Ensure your application form is signed and submitted to the Student Affairs Department.
    - Representative: If someone is collecting on your behalf, they must bring a copy of their IC/passport.
    - Foreign Students: Must present a copy of the check-out memo. Without it, the certificate will not be released.
