Deferment Procedures

General Procedures:

  • Inform the University: Notify the university of your intention to defer your intake.
  • Meet Any Conditions: Complete any required steps or conditions before leaving.
  • Fill Out a Form: Complete a deferment form indicating your intention to join later.
  • Clear Everything: Settle any outstanding fees and return borrowed materials.
  • Sort Out Your Visa: Inform the university if you need visa assistance due to deferment.
  • Get Confirmation: Obtain confirmation from the university that your deferment is processed.

Steps for Deferment:

  • Collect the Form: Visit the International Student Office (INSO) to obtain the Deferment Form.
  • Complete the Form: Fill out the form with a valid reason and attach a supporting letter.
  • Counseling: Obtain counseling from the Counselling Unit to validate your reason for deferment.
  • Approval: Secure approvals from the related Faculty, Marketing Department, Finance Department, INSO, and Registrar Office.
  • Submit the Form: Submit the completed form and relevant documents to INSO:
    1. Check-out memo
    2. Passport copy and visa copy
    3. Flight ticket copy
    4. Explanation letter
