Transfer of Studies from Another University or Program

All students who wish to transfer to a new university or switch to a new program must cancel their current visa and reapply as new applicants. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth transfer process:

Steps to Transfer:

1. Notify Current Institution:
Inform your current university of your intention to transfer and follow their procedures for withdrawal.

2. Prepare Documents:

  • Valid passport.
  • Current student pass.
  • Academic transcripts and certificates from your current university.
  • Offer letter from the new university or for the new program.
  • Completed application form for the new university or program.
3. Cancel Current Visa:
  • Contact the International Student Office at your current university to cancel your existing student pass.
  • Submit any required documents and follow their procedures for visa cancellation.
4. Reapply for a New Visa:
  • Once your current visa is canceled, prepare to apply for a new student pass.
  • Submit a new visa application to the Malaysian Immigration Department, including:
      1. Valid passport.
      2. Offer letter from the new university or program.
      3. Academic transcripts and certificates.
      4. Medical examination report (if required).
  • Pay the applicable visa application fees.
  1. Approval and Issuance:
    • Upon approval of your new visa application, you will receive a new student pass.
    • Complete any additional requirements, such as attending a Post-Arrival Medical Screening.
