Diplomatic Pass for Studying in Malaysia

Purpose

A Diplomatic Pass for studying in Malaysia is issued to dependents of foreign diplomats and consular officers, allowing them to pursue their education in Malaysia.

Eligibility

Dependents of accredited diplomats and consular officers stationed in Malaysia.

Requirements

  • Valid passport.
  • Diplomatic accreditation of the primary visa holder (parent/guardian).
  • Official request letter from the diplomatic mission.
  • Completed application form.
  • Passport-sized photographs.
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Application Process

  1. Prepare Documents: Collect the necessary documents, including the valid passport, diplomatic accreditation of the parent/guardian, an official request letter, proof of enrollment, and passport-sized photographs.
  2. Submit Application: Submit the completed application form and documents to the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  3. Processing: The Ministry will process the application and issue the Diplomatic Pass.

Validity

The validity of the Diplomatic Pass for studying will align with the duration of the diplomat's assignment in Malaysia or the duration of the study program, whichever is shorter.

 

Notes

  • Holders of a Diplomatic Pass are subject to the same educational regulations as other international students.
  • Renewal of the pass may be required if the study program extends beyond the initial validity period.
